Engineer to Cyber Monitoring and Incident Investigation Department

Candidate specification:

  • Higher professional education. Specialty: Information Systems. Automation and Management. Computer Science and Software. Information security systems. It is allowed to have secondary/incomplete vocational education upon provision of a certificate of education proving that a candidate is on the 3rd/4th year of the university: no requirements to the specialty.
  • If a candidate has a higher professorial education, no work experience is needed.

Compulsory expertise and skills

  • Knowledge of information security and data protection basics;
  • Knowledge of data transmission networks operation principles.
  • Knowledge of information security tools operation principles.
  • Skills for Windows/Linux and server/network equipment administration, identification/elimination of information security vulnerabilities, work with SIEM or other monitoring systems.
  • Comprehension of computer and network security, web application security principles. Knowledge of Russian and Kazakh.

Desired expertise and skills

  • Availability of expertise and skills (preferably) confirmed by certificates in the field of information technologies, information security, OS administration, including (preferably) certificates in the following areas: administration of server operating systems; administration of network equipment; administration of SIEM systems.
  • Skills of working with specialized software to identify vulnerabilities are encouraged. Knowledge of English at the level required to read special technical documentation.

Functional duties:

  • Administering information security and department systems, as well as ensuring an uninterrupted operation of information security equipment.
  • Providing technical support related to operating systems and application software, databases used for monitoring and investigation of incidents.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance works on the equipment of information security systems.
  • Carrying out work to enhance the configured rules/policies on network devices, servers and information systems and/or transmitting relevant instructions/recommendations to authorized personnel.
  • Participating in scheduled and unscheduled inspections of the Company to check compliance with information security requirements, issuing recommendations for the elimination of nonconformities.
