Announcement regarding the use of «e.Gov» trademark

Based on an extract from the State Register of Trademarks of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of June 6 , 2022 , "e.gov" designation is a trademark registered by National Information Technologies JSC.

 

Pursuant to Article 4 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of July 26, 1999 "On trademarks, service marks, geographical indications and appellations of origin of goods", no one can use a trademark protected in Kazakhstan without an owner consent.

For violation of the rights to a trademark, the offenders are liable to a fine from 20 to 80 MCI with confiscation of goods containing an illegal image of the trademark and should pay compensation from 100 MCI in favor of National Information Technologies JSC.

Thus, it is PROHIBITED to place a trademark on goods and when delivering services as well as during packaging, manufacture, import, storage, offer for sale, sale of goods with a trademark designation, use in signes, advertising, printed products or other business documentation, as well as other use of trademark in circulation.

 

A trademark is a designation that serves to distinguish the goods (services) of legal entities or individuals from similar goods (services) of other legal entities or individuals.
