15th Anniversary of the Electronic Government of Kazakhstan

On April 12, 15 years ago, eGov.kz started its operation as mechanism for interaction between government agencies and citizens in digital space. Today, about 12 million Kazakhstani citizens, and this is about 62 % of population, get online pubic services.

Each year the number of e-Gov services is increasing, among them are socially significant services for population, services for businesses, payments and other useful services, composite and proactive services as well as licenses and permits. 

Bagdat Mussin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the RK noted that the previous year demonstrated how crucial is the work done in digitilization of public administration processes and boosted e-Government development.

"Within a year, we implemented such capabilities as remote digital signature issuance, vehicles registration, acceptance of documents to educational organizations and over 30 socially significant services. Over 20 services became available via "Electronic requests" service. Significant work was done! I want to congratulate all the employees with the anniversary and wish them and their families a good health and new professional achievements!" told the Minister.   

At the moment, Kazakhstani citizens can get 91% of public services via eGov.kz portal. Besides, considering the needs of modern society, an emphasis is made on additional methods of service delivery not related to a desktop eGov version. Thus, 91 services and 4 features, such as digital documents, health passport, pension calculator and e-labour exchange are available in eGov Mobile app, while it takes several minutes to register and issue a digital signature in the app using biometrics. By using Telegram, Facebook and VKontakte messengers one can order 22 services. In 2020, in total, over 60 million public services were delivered through all the channels.
