eGov Mobile now offers a voluntary property insurance service

A new digital service for voluntary property and liability insurance is now available in the eGov Mobile app. The project was implemented by National Information Technologies JSC in collaboration with Insurance Broker Tumar LLP and is aimed at expanding the range of digital services available to citizens.

The new product enables users to arrange insurance protection for their residential property and liability to neighbours completely online. The service covers the most common household risks, including fire, explosion, and damage caused by flooding. The service is provided in the form of a monthly subscription, which ensures flexibility and accessibility for users.

"The “Tumar Home” service is now available in eGov Mobile, enabling citizens to manage the protection of their property on their own. The decision to obtain insurance remains with the user, while the team at NITEC JSC, together with its partners, has ensured a convenient and secure integration of the service into the mobile application ecosystem” said Daulet Bekmanov, Chairman of the Board, NITEC JSC.

How to use the “Tumar Home” service. To obtain an insurance policy, the user needs to:

  • sign in to the eGov mobile app;
  • go to the “Messages” section – “Notifications”;
  • select the “Tumar Home” insurance notification and open the service card;
  • grant consent to the use of personal data;
  • fill-in the required information to obtain the policy;
  • make payment of the insurance premium.

The insurance subscription costs KZT 1 500 per month. The maximum total compensation may reach KZT 500 000. Of the total coverage, up to KZT 250 000 may be used to compensate property damage, and up to KZT 250 000 for damages to third parties.

Three insurance companies participate in offering the product: Freedom Insurance, Basel, and Alatau City Garant. The insurance terms and policy cost are the same for all the users, regardless of the chosen insurance company.

We are pleased to bring insurance to a new level of digital convenience. “Tumar Home” is a simple, affordable, and effective product that covers the most common household risks. Thanks to the eGov Mobile integration, users can easily get insurance in just a few clicks” highlighted in Insurance Broker Tumar LLP.

Currently, the service is accessible only to users who have completed property registration. Once their property is registered, users get a notification in eGov Mobile suggesting they arrange an insurance. Getting a policy only takes a few minutes and is done completely online, no paperwork or visits needed, making the process easy and safe. By being integrated into the government e-services ecosystem, the service enables citizens to simultaneously handle property and administrative issues within one application.
