Documents for children can be obtained via mobile phones

Half a year ago, “Childbirth” service was launched in the country in proactive format, which enables obtaining certificates of birth, applying for benefits obtainment, assigning IIN and putting him/her into a waiting list to kindergarten via SMS without leaving a maternity hospital.

Since the service launch, it was obtained by 65374 mothers from all over Kazakhstan and they didn`t have to visit CSCs or egov.kz portal.

“Thanks to information systems` integration conducted by NIT JSC, applications for registration of new citizens are forwarded automatically and today, in order to obtain a proactive service, it is enough to link a phone number to IIN in a personal cabinet of  egov.kz portal and all the rest will be done by the system. Since the service launch, SMS with congratulations and suggestions to obtain the service were sent to 121230 mothers. Having sent personal data via SMS, mothers will obtain ready-made certificates of birth or they can use home delivery”, Asset Turyssov, Chairman of the Board, National Information Technologies JSC, commented.

Whatistheprocedure?

Straight after a child being born, information on the birth is registered in Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan database. Afterwards, automatically, those parents who already had their phone numbers linked to IIN in egov.kzpersonal cabinet obtain SMS with congratulations and suggestion to obtain the service on child registration.

In reply, parents send child`s full name and then obtain SMS with an address where they can obtain a ready-made certificate of birth.

Also, account`s number is requested via SMS and an application is automatically formed for the assignment of one-time allowance.

The third step is to put a child into a waiting list to kindergarten.

For reference: In the period December 29, 2017 to May 31, 2018, via the proactive method, 36 826 applications were submitted for children registration; 8 208 applications were submitted for assignment of benefits and 11 809 applications were submitted for putting children into a waiting list to kindergarten.
