On eGov.kz, the procedure for issuing and extending permits for labour immigrants has been updated
The service for issuing and extending permits for labour immigrants has been updated on eGov.kz. Documents can now be processed faster and more easily, while a significant portion of the required data is retrieved online.
The service allows foreign citizens to apply online for a permit, or extend an existing one, to work for individuals in a household within the territory of Kazakhstan.
To apply, a foreign citizen needs first complete a number of migration procedures, including obtaining an invitation, an individual identification number (IIN), and having a phone number registered in the Mobile Citizens Database.
Following the update on the eGov.kz portal, users no longer need to upload certain documents manually. For example, the medical certificate (form 028/y) and insurance data are automatically retrieved from state systems. This reduces application processing time and lowers the risk of errors.
"We continue to expand the online format for public service delivery. The update of the service for issuing and extending permits for labour immigrants has made it possible to automate part of the verification process and implement integration with state information systems. This reduces the amount of paperwork required when submitting an application and makes the process more convenient for users", said Daulet Bekmanov, Chairman of the Board, National Information Technologies JSC.
When completing and submitting an application, the system performs automatic checks. If inconsistencies are identified or required data is missing, an applicant will receive a notification, and submission of the application will remain unavailable until the issues are resolved.
After submission, the service status is displayed in the user's personal account on the eGov.kz portal. The decision to issue or extend a permit is made by the local executive bodies of districts and cities of regional significance after approval by territorial bodies of internal affairs.
Permits are issued for a period ranging from 1 to 12 months within the quota established for attracting labour immigrants. At this stage, the service is also available through in-person application at Citizen Service Centers. Additional information on obtaining the public service is available on the portal and social media pages of eGov.kz.
The update was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and the State Credit Bureau.
