In 2026, application submission process for enrollment to the 1^st grade will be transferred to the National Educational Platform OQU – oqu.edu.kz. The new platform, will allow users to submit applications, select a school, and track the subsequent stages of the service delivery process.

For the convenience of citizens, the service has also been integrated into the homepages of the eGov.kz portal and the eGov Mobile app. To use the service, users need to access the oqu.edu.kz platform and authenticate via the eGov portal or the eGov Mobile app, following the video tutorial available at the link below:

Applications will be accepted in stages by region staring from May 27 and until August 31, 2026. Enrollment to the 1^st grade is open to children who will be 6 years old by September 1 of the current year, as well as to children who turn 6 before the end of the calendar year, upon request of their parents.

Schedule of admission of documents to the 1^st grade by region:

• May 27 – August 31: Astana, Abai region, Zhetisu region, Kyzylorda region, West Kazakhstan region;
• June 10 – August 31: Almaty, Akmola region, Aktobe region, Zhambyl region, East Kazakhstan region;
• June 18 – August 31: Almaty region, Kostanay region, Pavlodar region, Atyrau region, Shymkent;
• June 29 – August 31: Turkestan region, Mangystau region, Karaganda region, North Kazakhstan region, Ulytau region.
