In January 2017, the capability of temporary registration at the place of residence appeared at eGov.kz  portal.  The service enables getting temporary registered in any place for the period from 1 to 48 months with preservation of registration at the place of permanent residence. Through integration of 5 systems (Individuals` National Database, Real Estate Registry National Database, Address Register IS, “Citizens` Record and Registration” Registration Point IS and e-Gov Portal IS) and facilitation of service obtainment process, today citizens can undergo temporary registration online within 15 minutes.  

In 2017, over 30.7 thousand users (48% men and 52% women) were temporary registered at the place of residence. The youngest user to obtain the service was 16-year-old citizen from Astana (Almaty district).The oldest service recipient was 94-year-old citizen from Almaty (Medeu district). Also, 92 citizens have obtained the service of temporary residential registration in the Republic of Kazakhstanstaying in foreign countries.  

To obtain the service, both applicant and accommodation owner, should have DSs and be registered at eGov.kz portal. The service is available in “Citizenship, Migration and Immigration” section, “Registration/Deregistration of Citizens” tab. An application should be filled in. The service is free of charge. Temporary residential registration can be checked through obtaining statement of residence.
