Beginning from March 14, 2022, the eGov.kz Portal users will not be available to sign in by login/password and one-time SMS separately.

Data on the eGov.kz Portal is to be protected by two-factor authentication.

Now, the eGov.kz Portal users will need to:

• enter login/IIN;
• enter the password;
• confirm the login by entering a one-time SMS code, which is sent to the phone number registered in the Mobile Citizens Database (hereinafter: MCD).

This ensures a high level of security.

Today, National Information Technologies JSC management met with Mr. Vincenzo Aquaro, Chief of Digital Government Branch in UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

Citizens, who lived on the territory of the Semipalatinsk test site in the period from 1949 to 1965, as well as from 1966 to 1990, can get payments from the state using a new service on the eGov.kz Portal.

Using the public service, citizens can get a certificate confirming the right to benefits and compensations. The new service is delivered free-of-charge and is available on the eGov.kz Portal since 2022. Since the launch of the service, 311 citizens have already applied for a certificate and compensation online.

Citizens can register the birth of a child in a more convenient proactive format without visiting the eGov.kz Portal. In the proactive childbirth service, SMS messages and notifications are optimized for a more convenient process.

The proactive format of obtaining services is convenient as the state itself offers a citizen to receive a relevant service in a particular life situation. Thus, a person does not need to go anywhere, it is sufficient to send the required information in response to the received SMS.

Beginning from April 23, 2022, video verification of Digital ID for the issuance of digital signature (DS) on the eGov.kz Portal will be available without the need to use a camera on a computer.

Obtainment of seven social payments became more convenient via e-Gov Portal (eGov.kz) and citizens can set up a special account online in three banks.

Now, applying for social payments, benefits and pensions via eGov.kz Portal, it is not necessary to indicate a 20-digit account number (IBAN). The system gets available accounts via an applicant`s IIN, which excludes an erroneous input of account number. A special account for benefits can be set up in three banks of the country: Halyk Bank, Kaspi.kz and Bank CenterCredit JSC.
