The citizens’ social status update service launched on the eGov portal

The service for checking social status has been upgraded on the portal. From now on, one can both view the current social status with information on who makes monthly contributions to the mandatory social medical insurance system and autonomously make changes online if the “Not defined” status is displayed.

Previously, the delivery of this service resulted in a message containing one of the following social statuses: “Employed”, “Recipient of social benefits”, “Under 18-s”, “The registered self-employed (individual entrepreneurs, farm households)”, while in the event that a citizen is not registered as an individual entrepreneur or employee, the message stating “Status not defined” was displayed.

To change such status, a citizen had to apply to Citizen Service Center. Now that the service has been upgraded, the procedure may be performed online, without leaving home. Upon clicking the “Change status” button, you will be prompted to fill out the form with the required data and wait for its being processed in government agency.

The service is free of charge. You only need to sign the form with your digital signature. The service delivery time is five business days. The service will result in your receiving the notice of your registration with a new social status, which may be checked through the social status identification service, and by viewing your Personal Cabinet on eGov.
