NITEC and Ministry of Digitalization of the Autonomous Community of Madrid signed cooperation agreement

Kazakhstan, represented by National Information Technologies JSC (NITEC), has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Digitalization of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The document was signed by Daulet Bekmanov, Chairman of the Board of NITEC and Miguel López-Valverde Argüeso, Minister of Digitalization of Madrid, during the Digital Bridge 2025 international forum.
The cooperation covers a wide range of areas, including the development of ICT and cybersecurity, regulation in the field of artificial intelligence, data management, and the promotion of GovTech. One of the key projects will be exploring the possibility of creating a joint GovTech test-bed in Madrid, which will allow startups, fast-growing companies, and government agencies to test digital solutions under flexible regulatory conditions.
«Kazakhstan has already made significant progress in digital transformation, and today we have enough maturity and expertise to share our own experience. At the same time, digital development is a continuous journey forward, and it is important for us to learn from our partners, adopt best practices, and create new solutions together. Partnership with Madrid, one of the largest regions in Spain, where over 1,450 government procedures have already been automated, opens up new horizons for joint innovations,» said Daulet Bekmanov, Chairman of the Board of National Information Technologies JSC.
The parties also plan to conduct joint research in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data, exchange experiences in digital transformation, and develop human capital in the ICT sector.
The signed agreement will be an important step in strengthening Kazakhstan’s position on the international digital stage. It not only opens up opportunities for exchanging best practices with one of the most advanced regions in Europe but also lays the foundation for joint innovative projects aimed at developing a next-generation digital state.
