Digital pet passports now available on eGov Mobile app

Digital pet passports are available on eGov Mobile. Owners of cats, dogs, and other pets can easily view their data in the «Digital Documents» section of the eGov Mobile app.

All data is taken from the «TABAN» Unified Pet Accounting Database. This system records all registered pets and key events relating to them.

The digital passport contains all the information about the pet, including the animal's individual number, document number, nickname, colour, breed, date of birth, distinguishing features, and sex and type. It also includes the pet's registration address and the address where the pet is currently located, as well as the owner's full name and IIN. Information about chipping, sterilization, and vaccination is also included, indicating the dates and statuses.

To get the service, the user needs to:

  • sign in to the eGov mobile app;
  • go to the «Digital Documents» service;
  • find the pet passport in the «Other documents» section;
  • if the document is not displayed, the user should click the «Update Documents»

The digital passport enables owners to quickly provide information about their pet when visiting a veterinary clinic, arranging travel, taking part in exhibitions and in the event of an animal going missing. Additionally, it promotes systematic pet ownership, reducing the number of neglected pets and increasing owners' responsibility.

As of March 2025, over 224,000 pets have been registered in the system. More than 20 thousand of them are homeless.

The new service was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Public Services Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Information Technologies JSC and Information and Accounting Center JSC at the request of Ministry of Ecology of RK.
