The “Vehicle Inspection” Integrated Information System was created to maintain the information on all facts of undergoing the inspection in a centralized, reliable and timely manner, so as to minimize the possible causes of traffic incidents and to integrate all vehicle inspection centers throughout Kazakhstan. The project’s basic objective was to create a single information system for recording the inspection of vehicles and trailers thereto.

The Vehicle Inspection IIS has been operated throughout Kazakhstan since 2013, with its major users being the staffs of the Authorized Agency, vehicle inspection operators, and owners of vehicles. Currently, all the vehicle inspection operators are being connected to the system. Resulting from the implementation of Vehicle Inspection IIS, the integrated database of vehicles that have undergone technical inspection was established.

It should be reminded that the previous year, in WSIS Prizes 2017, three Kazakhstani projects became the champions: e-Gov, Open Government, and Integrated Call Center (1414).
